존재하지만 불명확한, 보이지만 붙잡히지 않는(Somewhere, Unnamed)는 명확한 위치를 허락하지 않는 장소에 대한 이야기다. 그것은 기억 속 어딘가일 수도, 아직 도착하지 않은 미래일 수도 있으며, 현실과 비현실 사이의 경계에서 부유하는 감각일 수도 있다. 세 명의 작가는 각자의 방식으로 이러한 ‘어딘가’를 탐색하며, 그곳에 스며든 감정과 경험을 작품 속에 담아낸다.

이 전시에서 공통적으로 흐르는 요소는 ‘기억과 감정의 흔적’이다. 시간 속에서 흘러간 경험들은 때로는 뚜렷하게 남기도 하고, 때로는 잔상처럼 희미하게 부유한다. 누군가는 드로잉과 석판화를 통해 그러한 기억을 시각화하고, 보호와 위로의 감정을 축적하며, 또 다른 이는 꿈과 무의식의 공간을 구축한다. 이들은 각자의 작업을 통해 개인의 내면을 탐색하는 동시에, 관객에게도 자신의 기억과 감정을 되돌아볼 수 있는 경험을 제공한다. 박가현은 기억과 꿈의 경계를 탐구한다. 우리의 기억은 조각조각 흩어지기도 하고, 꿈속에서 새로운 형상으로 떠오르기도 한다. 그는 꿈과 기억의 단편들을 모아 심상 공간을 구축하며, 내면의 자아를 은유적 형상으로 표현한다. 곰과 같은 동물적 상징이 등장하는 그의 작품은 단순한 형상의 재현이 아니라, 감정과 무의식의 흐름을 시각화한 결과물이다. 현실과 환상의 경계를 넘나들며 그는 자아의 흔적을 탐색하고, 이를 통해 기억과 감정을 새롭게 마주한다. 지나는 보호와 위로의 감정을 작품 속에 쌓아 올린다. 연필로 차곡차곡 마음을 그려내는 그의 작업은, 차가운 세상 속에서 서로를 감싸 안고자 하는 보호본능에서 출발한다. 누군가를 보듬는 행위가 곧 자신이 보호받고 싶은 마음과 연결되듯, 그의 작업은 서로를 위로하는 공간이 된다. 이곳에서 관객은 조용한 따뜻함을 마주하고, 자신만의 감정을 되새길 수 있다. 지야솔은 드로잉과 석판화를 통해 과거와 현재를 연결한다. 그의 작업은 기억 속 풍경을 천천히 되새기며, 반복과 수정의 과정을 거쳐 형상화된다. 드로잉의 즉각성과 석판화의 우연성이 결합되며, 시간의 흐름 속에서 변화하는 기억의 속성을 반영한다. 그의 작업은 마치 기억을 조각조각 꺼내어 새롭게 재구성하는 과정과 닮아 있다.

이번 전시는 우리가 포착할 수 없는 것들에 대한 이야기다. 선명하지만 손에 닿지 않고, 익숙하지만 정확히 규정할 수 없는 것들…… 세 작가는 각자의 방식으로 그 ‘어딘가’를 찾아 나선다. 그리고 그들이 만들어낸 공간 속에서, 우리는 각자의 기억과 감정을 되돌아볼 수 있는 순간을 마주하게 된다.

Somewhere, Unnamed is a story about a place that refuses to be clearly defined. It may exist somewhere within memory, somewhere in a future yet to arrive, or somewhere drifting along the boundary between reality and unreality. Through their own distinct practices, the three artists explore these elusive “somewheres,” weaving the emotions and experiences embedded within them into their works.

A shared thread running throughout the exhibition is the trace of memory and emotion. Experiences carried through time sometimes remain vividly intact, while at other moments they linger only as faint afterimages. One artist visualizes such memories through drawing and lithography, another accumulates emotions of protection and comfort, while another constructs spaces shaped by dreams and the unconscious. Through their practices, the artists not only investigate their own inner worlds, but also invite viewers to reflect upon their own memories and emotions. Park Gahyun explores the boundary between memory and dreams. Our memories often scatter into fragments, only to reappear in altered forms within dreams. Gathering these fragments of dreams and recollections, she constructs psychological landscapes where the inner self emerges through metaphorical imagery. The animal symbols that appear in her works—such as bears—are not mere representations, but visualizations of emotion and the flow of the unconscious. Moving fluidly between reality and fantasy, she traces the remnants of the self, creating new encounters with memory and feeling. Jina layers emotions of protection and comfort into her works. Built slowly and delicately with pencil, her drawings stem from an instinct to shelter and embrace one another within an often cold world. Just as the act of caring for someone can reflect one’s own desire to be protected, her works become spaces of mutual consolation. Within them, viewers encounter a quiet warmth and are invited to revisit their own emotions. Jiya Sol connects past and present through drawing and lithography. Her works slowly retrace remembered landscapes, taking shape through processes of repetition and revision. The immediacy of drawing intertwines with the unpredictability of lithography, reflecting the shifting nature of memory over time. Her practice resembles the act of carefully retrieving fragmented memories and reconstructing them anew.

This exhibition is ultimately about things that cannot fully be grasped—things that appear vivid yet remain untouchable, familiar yet impossible to define precisely. Each artist searches for that elusive “somewhere” in their own way. And within the spaces they create, we are invited to encounter moments that return us to our own memories and emotions.
